Shortened form of Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Idiom.
Definition : it is often better to deal with someone or something you are familiar with and know, even if they are not ideal, than take a risk with an unknown person or thing.
I had never heard of this idiom before today.
And I've always thought my grasp of English was pretty damn good too.
I'm beginning to realise that if I open my mind wide enough,
I'd find something new to learn everyday.
:)
And see? I educated you people in the process!
Bet y'all never heard of the idiom before today either :D
P.S. It just hit me today, that I am a horribly superficial person. That has to be changed.
