Church? There's no church there...do you see a school?

Who wants to read about the time I got lost in Seremban town trying to find Old Town!?

Come come, I tell you story.

So today, around 8pm, Mhirah and I decided to go out somewhere and study,
because studying at home just wasn't doing it for us.
Our initial plan was to go to Jusco,
but we ended up deciding to go to Old Town White Coffee (that Kopitiam place) in town.

Now the problem was, neither of us knew the way.
We knew it was at Terminal 2 la. But where exactly Terminal 2 was...therein lay the major problem.

We decided we were pro enough to find it on our own la anyway.

So we turned in to Terminal 1,
and then we ended up on some small, one lane, winding road that went past a church,
and we were like.
holy shit. (no pun intended) we're lost. :O

So Mhirah tried calling a friend, and one of them answered,
and we told him our predicament,
and then he told us a few directions,
that put us right back on the road we were on earlier.
And we followed his directions.
And we ended up on the church road. again.

And he's like "okay. where are you guys now? what do you see?"

And we're like "There's a church on our right, and Terminal 1 on the left"

And he's like "A church? A church? Huh. There's no church there. Do you see a school though?"

And we're like "...........no?"

And he's like "uh-oh. Okay, turn right..."
then a few more directions later, and we're yet again on the same freaking road la okay.

And then we're like "We see the church again. Its on our right. Are we supposed to see a church?"

And he's like "What church? Can you U-turn?"

And there really is no place AT ALL to U-turn la okay, so I turn into this junction, and then I do a couple of stunts (3-point turn) and get honked at alot,
and then we're going back to the middle of town,

where he gives us a few more directions.

And at this one point I'm like. "Can I pull up and then you give me all the directions and then I try to figure it out?"
Because I'm pretty much cutting in everywhere and getting in everyone's way cos I'm confused as hell right.

But anyway, he stays on the line,

and we follow his directions one last time,

AND WE END UP AT THE CHURCH ROAD AGAIN.

And I'm like. "okay. whoa. STOP. What are we supposed to see?!"

And then he's like "Okay, so Terminal 1 is on your left..."

Me : Yep

Him : Then on your right there should be a church and a school.

Me : Church?

Him : Yes a church and a school.

Me : Church.

Him : Yes. And a school.

Mhirah : OHMYGOD. WE'VE BEEN ON THIS ROAD 4 TIMES ALREADY. HOW MANY TIMES DID WE ASK YOU ABOUT THE CHURCH!

...

yep.

(ofc the conversation wasn't exactly verbatim la okay)

But to be fair though, hes a really nice guy,
staying on the line throughout the whole fiasco,
and offering to call Mhirah back so she doesn't waste credit (aw-worthy kan? pity he's attached)

His nice-ness kind of compensates for the fact that he can't give directions at all la kan.

And we had to pass a cemetery.
woooo.
And we ended up in Halloweentown.

No I'm kidding.

But we really did pass a cemetery. Tepi jalan summore. Creepy. :p

And that concludes tonight's adventure!

woohoo!

I need sleep omg I didn't sleep at all last night I swear to God this insomnia will be the death of me.

Christmas!

Hai u guiz!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
From the front hall of my new home. :)

I no longer live in Subang. :((
I'll miss it.

But my new house is pretty.
I'm beginning to fall in love with it already.
After all, isn't home where the heart is?
And my heart could never be very far away from my family.

However, the contractor hasn't finished the house yet...because he's an idiot.
(and thats putting it MILDLY)
and so,
on Christmas morning, we are serenaded by the sounds of drilling
and the scents of varnish and new paint.

yep.

My Singapore-holiday-plan got cancelled though.
:|

oh well.

Always another year, another Christmas aye?

Have a good Christmas you guys!
And we'll welcome in 2011 with our glasses raised high next week. ;)

Next two weeks in PD!

I HAD NO IDEA CHRISTMAS WAS THIS WEEKEND.
Completely lost track of time!
I was so convinced that there were another few weeks left before Christmas came ok omg.

The Notebook

Oh oh! You guys!

I finally, finally watched The Notebook,
after all the hype that's been going around.

I can't believe I actually finished it.

Took me 2 days and 7 sittings altogether to get through the whole thing.
It was horrible.

I mean, the book was just so-so, but the movie is...

I didn't laugh.
I didn't cry.
Rachel Adams pissed me off throughout 80% of the movie. Why on earth does she laugh at everything?

AND THEY JUST MAKE OUT ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

I'm sorry, but exactly which part of romance equals making out?
Making out involves lust.
Not love.

And the movie itself is just sooooo draaaaaggy ohmygod.

I know alot of you adore the movie, but honestly...calling it the greatest love story ever told is grossly overrating it.

Nightmare

Oh! I almost forgot!

I had the weirdest dream ever yesterday!

It started off with me being dressed in my old school prefect t-shirt.
This old, faded, black one with a collar. And my brown shorts.
And then I met Zia, and she was dressed in the exact same thing.

And we exchanged niceties.

And then out of the blue we suddenly remembered that we each had presentations to do that day!
With Dato' Kew, no less.

So we rushed... in our (my) pyjamas,
and we ended up in one of the PBL rooms, and everyone was already there.

And then we were just apologizing profusely and all that, and Dato' Kew was all cynical and whatever, and she just asked us to sit down,
and waved for the presentations to continue.

And then Zia remembered that her presentation was only tomorrow, so she was all relaxed.

But mine was today!

And as I was freaking out about it, Dato' Kew goes like
"Well, Vidya, I hope you're prepared. You're up next"

And I'm like shiiiiiit.

So I try telling Dato' Kew that since I'm in my pyjamas and all, which is decidedly unprofessional attire (not to mention I haven't prepared shit for my presentation)
and she just gives me this really cold look and doesn't bother to answer.

So I walk up to the front, and by this point I'm flat out panicking right,
and then Sufi (who is manning (?) the laptop btw) starts my powerpoint,

and I just stand there awkwardly, in my pyjamas, mind you,
and then I start talking,
and it was some physics presentation,
but I couldn't for the life of me remember what my presentation was about.
so I stopped.
And then I had to keep referring to the slides,
and stop,
and I made such a complete fool out of myself.

And Dato' Kew was just shaking her head and being disappointed.
And I felt like a complete failure.

And then I woke up.

It was a horrible dream

Must've been the disappointments of yesterday weighing down on my conscience.

What a wake up call, eh?

Oh well.
What's done is done.

Thursday, 16 December 2010

this is a post.

I just watched 17 Again again.
I think I've watched that movie like 19 times by now.

I mean,
Zac Efron is
hotttttt in that.
I would watch it over and over just for him.

And Matthew Perry.
I
adore Matthew Perry.

EOP

EOP tomorrow.

I haven't prepared.
So far the only thing I've read is jaundice.
Planning to read hernias and then sleep.

I haven't read anything at all about pancreatitis or cholecystitis though.
AND my anatomy is shit.

Oh well.

Hopefully Prof Lionel doesn't take too long, so my suffering is not prolonged.

Meh.

And hopefully I don't get an Indian patient.
I can't speak Tamil to save my life.
Actually, I can...I mean, I try...but most of the time, I start in Tamil and end in Malayalam, and the patient understands absolutely nothing.
Or
I don't understand what the patient is saying.

Although I must admit, Indian men are more forgiving than Indian women when it comes to talking to them in Malay.

WISH ME LUCK YOU GUYS.

Engagements

"I know I'm not supposed to tease you in a situation like this, but I just can't resist. You're too teasable"

-_-
Brother-in-laws are a pain in my backside.
I already have one brother and two brother-in-laws...I did not need another brother ok omg.
ESPECIALLY one who decides he needs to tease me everytime he sees me.
psh.

My brother got engaged today!

*sniffles*

It was awesome.

He was awesome. I was like second most important character in the whole affair...being the only sister and all.
I was so proud. :')
And at the same time its like this boy is engaged to be married.
This boy that I grew up with omg.

:')

I'm going to go cry now.
