Moooo-vies :)

Haven't been properly updating for awhile.
Mainly because I've been out the past few nights.

I am terribly tired, to the extent that I'm not sleepy.

You see, on Sunday night, we wanted to go out...us cousins la.
Just for a drink or something.
But then suddenly we decided we'd go watch the new Shah Rukh movie...midnight show at Pyramid.
But the tickets were all sold out.
Since we were already in the mood to watch a movie, we decided to pick something else la.
Almost everything else was full, so our only options were Bolt and The Day the Earth Stood Still.
We picked the 2nd movie la.
And after we bought the tickets, we saw the poster.
And it suddenly hit us tat we may have just bought tickets for an alien movie.

This movie kan.
Is.
By far.
THE STUPIDEST MOVIE I have ever watched in my entire life.
I mean of all the stupid movies I have watched : Toolbox Murders, Halloween, Pathology, Cursed...this one takes the cake.

Story like this la.
Keanu Reeves is an alien.
Who has come to save the earth.
(konon)
Then theres this one part where the heroine is trying to figure things out...
(the quotes are NOT verbatim, I'm just spewing out what I can roughly remember)
"You said you came to save the Earth...but you're trying to destroy us?
You're saving the Earth but not us?
You're saving the Earth from us?"

No, really.
How shocking.
-__-

And then theres this huge sphere, in which Mr Reeves landed.

And then theres this Robocop-like thingy.

Can you see it?
The red light comes from its one eye.

And then suddenly towards the end of the story, it turns out that Robocop is actually made out of metallic insects that suddenly decide to disperse and start vaporising buildings and people.

Metallic insects.
Damn, I wish I could find a picture of it to show you all.
Classic, I tell you.

Oh, and then kan, theres this one scene where Keanu Reeves and some Chinese guy are conversing in Mandarin...half the conversation is in chinese ok, and they provide us with subtitles...
...and then suddenly they switch to English.
o_O
Cannot converse in English the whole time you know.
Must half this one half that one.

Then theres this one part where Mr Alien astounds us with us profound logic :
"If the Earth dies, you die.
If you die, the Earth survives"
Oh and then of course got emo emo parts la :
"We can change...you have to give us a chance...don't do this to us!"

*yawn*
Stupidest movie.
EVER.

Already I don't like Keanu Reeves.
I like alien movies less.

And then on Monday, we had to get up early-ish and start getting ready for Chithra's reception dinner.
First of all, all the relatives must come visit la.
Then must get ready in the afternoon, cos there were ten thousand people and only 3 bathrooms.
Then with all the people changing and all, no one managed to squeeze in a nap la.

Then we went for the dinner.
Left early though, cos we really wanted to watch that Shah Rukh Khan movie.
:p

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
(A Couple Made by God)

Look at him la.
Nerds Inc. Pvt. Ltd.
LOL.

But the movie was good la.
Really funny.
And Shah Rukh seems to have improved on his crying skills (that was the only thing I ever had against him)
He's like this total nerd la, and he goes to his ex-teacher's daughter's wedding...and falls in love with the bride.
Then what happens is the bridegroom meets with an accident on the way and dies, and the brides father gets a heart attack, so he asks his daughter to marry Shah Rukh, because he feels that with him, she would be in safe hands.
(phew...long sentence)
So this girl doesn't love Shah Rukh la of cos.
Then what this Shah Rukh will do, he will go get a makeover,

and then he'll go to her dance school to surprise her (she loves dancing), but then somehow he ends up as her dance partner for some competition.
And she doesn't recognise that he's actually her husband.
Soooo...he won't tell her that its him.
So then its like hes playing a double role.
The nerd at home, and the clumsy bad boy at the dance school.

She eventually falls in love with his wannabe-bad-boy personality.

Then he gets all emo and says she doesn't love the guy she married, but the guy in her dance school instead...which isn't who he really is.
...
I got a bit confused at this part too.
Considering both guys in question are...well, the same guy.
I suppose he had a point la.
I didn't see it.
Anyway, at the end, she'll say she cannot leave her husband for the dance-school guy,
so he happy. :)
And then right at the end, she finds out they're the same person.
Then she happy. :)
And so they live happily ever after.

LOL.
Ok damn potong steam.
Sorry la, I'm not that good at story-telling.

I like the bad boy Shah Rukh better.
Ah well.
:)

Love the songs though.

Oh ya,
halfway thru the movie.. around 2am la.
The movie stopped, and the cinema lights came on.
So we sat for about ten minutes in absolute cluelessness, before both my bros-in-law decided to go investigate.
Apparently the fella up there knocked the reel from the projector.
-___-
I think he over-excited edi.
Sigh.
By the time we came back it was 3.

And then today went KLCC.

Btw don't you think Datuk SRK looks quite good in this pic?
I think he looks quite good. :p

OK la, this post is way too long already.
Byebye. :)
